The year is 1968. To a small town in the south of Israel, mostly inhabited by Moroccan immigrants, a few families from India arrive, searching for a better life in the west. The instinct driven Moroccans patronize the "black" Indians, while the quiet Indians see the Moroccans as Ignorant and coarse. In this cultural war two girls, Moroccan and Indian, discover the sexual revolution of the 60's.

A la fin des années soixante, deux familles émigrent en Israël et se retrouvent voisines dans un minuscule village perdu au milieu de nulle part. L'une vient du Maroc et l'autre de l'Inde. Hormis un rêve, ces gens n'ont rien en commun. Loin de leurs habitudes et de leurs influences culturelles, ils tentent de reconstruire leur monde. Obligées de cohabiter, les deux communautés se jaugent et tentent d'exister par ce qui les différencie. De malentendus en préjugés, la route vers l'harmonie s'annonce aussi tortueuse que surprenante.

הסרט הדרמטי-קומי מתאר את המציאות החברתית של אנשי עיירת עולים חדשים ישראלית בנגב ב-1968, דרך סיפור חברותן של שתי נערות, שרה טלקר, עולה חדשה מהודו, וניקול שושן, בת להורים יוצאי מרוקו. סיפור החברות מתחיל כאשר משפחת עולים מהודו, משפחתה של שרה, מגיעה אחרי חודש אולפן והבטחות שווא על מגורים במרכז הארץ, לגור בעיירת הסְפר המאוכלסת רובה ככולה בעולים קשי יום ממרוקו. ותיקי העיירה, המזדהים עם התרבות הצרפתית, מתייחסים בעוינות לעולים החדשים מהודו ומתנשאים מעליהם. ההודים מצדם, הרואים עצמם כבני התרבות הבריטית, חושבים את האוכלוסייה המקומית לבורה וגסת-רוח. בין שתי הקבוצות נוצרת מלחמת תרבות, אך שתי הנערות יוצרות ביניהן חברות ייחודית.

En los años 60, una familia hindú viaja a Israel siguiendo una promesa de la agencia hebrea de entregarles un apartamento en el centro de Israel. Tras horas de viaje en camión, el vehículo se estropea. La hija no tiene idea de dónde se encuentran. Y ahí, en medio del desierto, conoce a una chica que le hará cambiar su vida.
