Such a wonderful performance as Humphrey Bogart's old girlfriend. It's a tiny role - a single scene with less than five minutes of screen time - but Trevor creates a character oozing regret, pain and desperation. She breaks your heart in a few brief moments.
Dead End is an excellent film with a fine ensemble cast (and an extraordinary set) but Claire Trevor steals the movie.

I've seen this film at least a few times, though not in a really long time. I remember Miss Trevor's performance being excellent, but unfortunately am not able to recall the specifics of it.
Miss Trevor was a character actress who always had a "certain something extra" about her and her performances that any film she was in tremendously benefited from.
