‎Scotty se stěhuje do přímořského sídla paní Engelsové, kde nastupují další tři vysokoškoláci. Paní Engelsová raději zůstává ve svém pokoji na půdě, ale její syn Mason pomáhá studentům usadit se. Brzy je jeden ze studentů zabit. Policisté v případu začínají odhalovat tajemství rodiny Engelsových, zatímco zbývající studenti jsou ohroženi.‎

Scotty moves into Mrs. Engels' seaside mansion where three other college students are boarding. Mrs. Engels prefers to stay in her room in the attic, but her son Mason helps the students get settled. Soon one of the students is killed. The policemen on the case begin uncovering the Engels family secret as the remaining students become endangered

Dans une vieille maison isolée, un locataire est poignardé à son réveil. Les victimes se succèdent, les meurtres paraissent inexplicables, et la terreur s'installe.

Scotty Parker, eine frischgebackene Studentin, zieht in das Strandhaus einer gewissen Mrs. Engels, wo auch schon drei andere Studenten wohnen. Mrs. Engels zeigt sich nicht besonders oft, da sie hauptsächlich in ihrem kleinen Zimmer am Dachboden wohnt. Mason, der verstörte Sohn von Mrs. Engels kümmert sich jedoch um seine Mutter und hilft den Studentinnen beim übersiedeln. Eines Tages wird eine Männerleiche am Strand gefunden und die jungen Bewohner müssen feststellen, dass im Keller noch eine Person wohnt: Victoria, die Tochter von Mrs. Engels.
