Eleven-year old Jason and his companions, including Hercules and Orpheus, go with the ship "Argo" in the search for the Golden Fleece. With wit and cunning to overcome various obstacles until they reach the destination of their fantastic journey. The experiment is not only due to the popularization or naive glorification of a myth, but the search space occupied by fact that the heroes of antiquity were actually very young.

Der elfjährige Jason geht mit Herakles, Castor und Pollux, Orpheus und anderen Königssöhnen Griechenlands auf Schatzsuche. Ihre Reise führt sie zunächst auf die Insel der Dolionen, dann nach Lemnos, wo sie das Geheimnis der Insel und seiner Bewohnerinnen erkunden. Danach kommen sie zu den Symplegaden, zwei schwimmenden Felsen, die vor einer Meeresenge mit wechselnden Strömungen liegen. Mit Verstand und Erfindungsgabe gelingt ihnen die Durchfahrt. Im sagenhaften Land Kolchis verliebt sich Medea in Jason und hilft ihm im Kampf um das Goldene Vlies.
