Discuss Earthlings

none of the footage is sourced or dated in this, which I find problematic since its a 2005 film and in 15 years I'd imagine a fair amount has changed. Who knows if the footage they're using predates that by a few years too... Also, since it's not given a location or source, it's impossible in most instances to gauge whether it's happening in developed countries or developing countries, an important distinction given that the target audience is clearly 'Westerners'. I'm confident (though not actually sure), that these days, many of the practices shown in this film are forbidden in a lot of developed countries, and many of the clips shown would also breach hygiene and food standards. Clearly the footage is sourced somewhere, and I'm certainly not denying the atrocities portrayed actually took place (and may still take place in some regions), but it's an important oversight not to be transparent about that.
