Visionary Writer/Director doesn't make any other movies... Such a shame!

I honestly think that Cargo is visually one of the best sci-fi movies every created. Every shot is so beautifully composed. Every scene is so beautiful and life-like. The world created by Ivan Engler is a living breathing world.
Why did such a great film maker disappear into thin air!?

The first part of the film seems excellent to me, when it reaches the middle it already becomes predictable and in the last section it falls off quite a bit at the plot level, a pity
