Лирический рассказ о молодежи, поисках истины, первых мучительных переживаниях любви. В фильме три героя. Родион - добрый и цельный человек - трудно переживает расставание с девушкой, которая его не любит, и сам избавляет ее от необходимости врать и мучиться. Жизнь Рустама складывается иначе. Он - любим, талантлив. Третий герой, грек по происхождению, возвращается на родину, где нашлись его мать и брат.
