I want to give a shout out to the Abbott & Costello films of the 50's, I loved them when I was a kid.

I have just watched Kenzi Mizoguchi's magnificent The Life of Oharu which has crashed straight to the top of this year's list. A truly beautiful, heartbreaking film.
