Ο υποτιθέμενος θάνατος του γίνεται πρωτοσέλιδο στις εφημερίδες και οι πιστωτές του σταματούν να τον πιέζουν, οι χρεώστες πληρώνουν και η υποδηματοποιία σώζεται. Τα πράγματα όμως μπερδεύονται όταν ένας απο τους προμηθευτές της εταιρίας ζητά να παντρευτεί τη "χήρα" Λαμπιρίκου.
