I posted to this forum after seeing this film. Here's the funny thing: recently I was traveling and saw a group of "Herbalife" employees/entrepreneurs (?) flying with us. I'm not sure what their destination was, but it may have been to/from Miami? Anyway, I first just noticed that there were a bunch of young, fit, and a little-too-happy/expressive people waiting to board our flight. Then I noticed the name, on some pants I think, then I began to watch as the group interacted and sure enough, each of them had something or was carrying something that had the Herbalife logo or name on it.

This led me to do two things: first, once I made the connection, I filled in a traveling companion about why I was staring at this group of people. Second, I began to eavesdrop (casually, nothing too creepy) on their conversations as they were in line to board around us. I could tell by their conversations that most had met one another before, but they didn't really "know" each other. Statements like, "So are you still up in _____?" and things like that. It was also obvious that--like many young adults--they were kind of posturing to impress one another. The last thing I noticed is they were kinda creepy...in that "I know something you don't know" kind of way. I swear I was careful not to make eye-contact for fear that they might "invite me to their cult." :)

Anyway, it was just an interesting encounter that I felt like sharing. Truth be told I kind of wanted one of them to engage me so we could talk about the reality of Herbalife. I felt sorry for them, having seen this documentary...hopefully the company is changing and they are not getting screwed. It's a crazy world.
