What I'm saying is that the antics so many of us have been engaged in since late '15-today(Pretending that we're traumatized and irreparably wounded by language, and often calling for anyone who says anything we find objectionable to be cancelled)are essentially modern versions of the squabbling one associates with theologians during The Dark Ages, over who's interpretation of The Bible or The Koran was The Truth. These are battles over ideological purity
