Pablo (Arturo Puig) receives the news that his father, who abandoned him and his family a long time ago and was thought dead, wants to see him so he can pass all his fortune to him. Pablo goes to see his father in Brazil, expecting to inherit a large sum of money, but instead, he receives from his father a treasure map, with the promise that the map will make him rich. After the father dies, Pablo decides to go to an adventure and seek the treasure, aided by the men his father choose as companionship, and by one woman faith choose for him.

И только через два года режиссёр написал оригинальный сценарий, по которому в 1981 году был снят фильм «Завоевание рая», ставший первой полнометражной картиной Субиелы и заложивший основу его неповторимого стиля. С той поры в каждом своём фильме режиссёр говорит о любви и смерти, о невероятном переплетении прошлого и будущего. И непонятно, чего в этих фильмах больше: музыки, поэзии или космоса.

Pablo (Arturo Puig) recibe la noticia de que su padre, quien abandono a él y su familia hace mucho tiempo y fue dado por muerto, quiere verlo para que pueda heredar toda su fortuna. Pablo va a ver a su padre a Brasil, esperando heredar una gran suma de dinero, pero en cambio, recibe de su padre un mapa del tesoro, con la promesa de que el mapa le hará rico. Después de que el padre muera, Pablo decide ir a una aventura y buscar el tesoro, con la ayuda de los hombres que su padre eligió, y por una mujer.
