The ending (no spoilers)

One of the most bizarre endings I have ever seen. The whole film, while rough around the edges, is a memorable early example of the South Korean penchant for combining the shocking and the goofy, but the closing moments really have to be seen.

Has anybody seen both this and the 2010 remake? I was wondering how closely they compare.
