Discuss Joan of Arc

I saw this movie and felt it was a little tame and too watered and sanitized down to be a really good account of life in the late Middle Ages. Later more cruder movies made in the 60's and 70's would be better at showing more what that era was really like. (This movie still had high points but being a historian I am more in tune with the previous fact than most viewers!)

Since the movie is obviously about God I will stress some of the Bible's tremendous scientific accuracy proving it is indeed the Divine word!

  1. Round Earth hanging on nothing
  2. Jet streams
  3. Man from soil
  4. Never mix flax with linen
  5. Reptiles created well before Man (Septuagint version of Genesis)

Much more!

Sarcastic reply. I do not know that show.

Mech has wrongly stated previously that efforts to prove the Bible are pointless (not exact word used). The Bible clearly states much science in its writings. As has been pointed out. Some people like Mech pretend they do not see it and that all religions are the same which is pure nonsense. Other religions do not have Holy Bible -equivalents with horrendous of amazing, accurate science in them.

In fact Mech and the rest of you there is almost no way to see at once all the Bible scientific facts as there are so many. And in ways not even obvious as science.

Adding on that. It has come to my attention that I previously pointed out the extremely little known fact some of Hinduism is slightly and outright based on the Bible. But Hinduism based on Bible is less scientifically advanced and Hinduism has many points not real at all. An analogy could be that other Indians--those in the West Indies and South America--are some people who were primitive till 1492 and they take pagan gods and just give them Christian names. Bible is all true in pure state but it can be corrupted and Hinduism, though well-intended, has outright corrupted its treatment of originally Biblical material.

No they are not myths. From time to time I will be showing more fact. I may start with the sea opening (I already showed how the sea or river becoming red in Exodus was no problem--algae).

This article is called "Computers show how wind could have parted Red Sea".

Most of the Bible's great science is in the Old Testament. However, I have already pointed out that St. Paul, an outright disciple of Christ, indeed proved his Divine mission with a statement in Colossians where he gave a fact about the head causing the rest of the body to grow. First century AD folk did not know this outside of the Bible. This doubting poster, Mech, cannot start to explain where Paul got that incredible bit of info. I will be back tomorrow with more info about rising from the dead. But I leave you with this. Bible and or Biblical-patriarchs had facts first and other cultures corrupted them not the other way round turning them to false myths. Flood myths lack the science of Noah's Ark true story.

St. Paul was right on the money entirely. The head is where the skull is. The skull is where the pituitary gland is. The pituitary gland grows the body.

Mechajutaro, you have no points against the Bible.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talking_animal

That link shows many different non-human animals have proven capable of partial speech. Seems like any creature with a brain and vocal chords can learn to talk. Including a snake.

There is only one snake with vocal chords. A pine snake.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGIvf_qvuKu or put in at youtube "Northern Pine snake defensive hissing". Listen to what a snake with vocal chords sounds like.

This is how a snake with vocal chords could talk. Maybe there was a species in Mesopotamia some 9,000 years ago. The Pine Snake only lives in North America now.

Now as for Jonah and the Whale. The story about Jonah's voyage to Tartessos is realistically detailed. No evidence of fish or whale swallowing humans and humans living in the fish or whale stomach three days but we can now bring people back to life after being dead. Some cells work for 17 days after death. Jonah most likely died in the whale's or fish's belly and came to back to life just before getting released. Our creator can obviously revive humans better than we can but our ability is slightly catching up.
