Sight and Sound has totally lost its mind. This dreadful film was named best film ever. It’s one of those watchin-the-paint-dry films. Like Belle Noiseuse but without the gratuitous nudity. Or Turin Horse, but without the surreal black and white cinematography. Or My Dinner with Andre, but without the interesting dialogue.

Maybe the critics think there is some deep meaning in this, but it’s just about 3 days in the boring life of a dull housewife. Three hours of washing dishes, eating dinner, doing house chores. She does something bad at the end and feels sorry. end of movie. Good grief.

Save yourself from grief and just watch any other film on the Sight and Sound list. Really, any other film!

Some critics say this is a good feminist film. They’re insane. Watch Persona instead. It’s half the length and vastly superior.
