Die Dokumentation verfolgt von 2009 bis 2016 das Leben des jungen Mönchs Padma Angdu und seines ihm fürsorglich zugewandten Lehrmeisters Urgain Rigzin. Im Alter von sechs Jahren wird Padma Angdu als Reinkarnation eines großen buddhistischen Meisters aus Tibet anerkannt, doch mit der Zeit schwindet die Anerkennung. Der alte Lama Urgain Rigzin stellt von da an sein Leben in den Dienst des jungen Mönchs.
