约翰医生的弟弟因为车祸而丧生，可他却把自己弟弟的遗体当作试验品改造成了怪物，此时他的朋友们来到其居所看望他，一阵腥风血雨即将到来……

Amanda na smrtelné posteli žádá svého syna Johna, aby pro ni něco udělal. Má zničit všechny laboratorní poznámky z jejího posledního experimentu. Na jejím pohřbu John potká Melissu, která tvrdí, že je největší fanynka jeho matky. Spolu s ní a některými přáteli jde John do domu Amandy, aby splnil svůj úkol. V domě je čeká výsledek nevydařeného experimentu - sklep obývají podivná monstra.

Amanda's deathbed request to her son, John, was for him to destroy all the lab notes etc. from her last experiment. She also blurts out he had a brother. At the funeral John meets Melissa, who claims to be his mother's biggest fan. Together with some of John's friends they go to Amanda's house, but none are prepared for what they find there.

Amanda demande à son fils John avant de mourir que celui-ci se rende à son laboratoire pour détruire toutes les notes sur ses dernières expériences et tout ce qui concerne son "frère" que John n'a jamais connu. Mais le collaborateur d'Amanda ne l'entend pas de cette oreille...

Als die Wissenschaftlerin Amanda Hollins (Kim Hunter) aus einem Herzinfarkt-Koma erwacht, bittet sie ihren Sohn John (David Allen Brooks), ihr komplettes letztes Experiment zu vernichten, daß sie in ihrem Heimlabor gezüchtet hat. Ferner klärt sie ihn noch auf, daß er einen Bruder hat. Kurz darauf wird sie von ihrem Kollegen Dr.Lloyd (Rod Steiger), der an ihre Ergebnisse heran will, im Krankenbett ermordet. In ihrer Arbeit ging es um Klone und Hybriden, doch John und seine Kollegin Melissa (Amanda Pays) sowie einige weitere Begleiter sind nicht auf das Kommende vorbereitet, als sie Amandas abgelegenes Haus betreten. Es erwartet sie eine monströse Überraschung...

En su lecho de muerte, Amanda ruega a su hijo John que destruya todas las anotaciones de su último experimento y, además, le confiesa que tuvo un hermano. En el funeral, John conoce a Melissa, una chica que le ayudará a cumplir la voluntad de su madre. Pero en casa de Amanda se encontrarán algo completamente inesperado.
