Una nave-faro raccoglie tre uomini da un motoscafo in avaria: Caspary e i fratelli Gene e Eddie. Il capitano della nave si chiama Miller e con lui c'è a bordo anche suo figlio Alex, rifugiato lì per evitare guai con la polizia. Ma con la polizia hanno grossi guai anche i tre naufraghi, che in realtà sono dei feroci gangster; in breve essi prendono il comando della nave. Il capitano Miller cerca soltanto di non far precipitare la situazione, cosa che conferma in Alex il sospetto che suo padre sia un codardo.

Durante su período de vigilancia, la tripulación de un buque-faro rescata a tres hombres que navegan a la deriva en una motora averiada. Son tres extraños personajes: un asesino paranoico, acompañado por dos serviles hermanos. En el interior del buque empieza a correrse el temor de que el trío que acaban de rescatar huyen de la justicia. A partir de ese momento, la tensión y el terror hacen su aparación.
