I've been trying to find a copy of this film for 10 years. It's really odd that there isn't one around.

My copy is Kontroll.2011.720p.BluRay.x264-DON.mkv, 7.95 GiB. To me it looks like a good quality.

Where did you get it?

Well, I'm not sure if you want it on Bluray or DVD. The DVD seems easily available on Amazon.

I found a German Blu-ray copy on Ebay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kontroll-Jeder-Muss-Bezahlen-Blu-Ray-NEU-Sandor-Csanyi-Zoltan-Mucsi/264710123143?epid=1242298657&hash=item3da1f3ee87:g:Z58AAOSw7eleSrXC

It does not appear to have English either as a language option or subtitles. If you're super-industrious and the image is critical, you can buy the Blu-ray, strip it to an .MKV file with something like MakeMKV, find an english audio dub from the DVD, assuming the timings are identical, or an .SRT file with the English subtitles, and combine them into a file to watch using Handbrake. But that's a ton of work.

You can buy a streaming copy on any of the major services like Amazon and Google Play or watch it on Tubi for "free." (Haven't used Tubi, but anything "free" comes at the cost of either sub or commercials.) The digital-only versions are only SD.

Thank you. I promise you when I first put this post up this film was nowhere to be found. I saw it years ago on IFC and always loved it. I am what you would call "industrious" . I have my own Plex server configured to be viewed from anywhere with an internet connection and prefer to have my movies on there. I would prefer Blu-ray, of course wink but DVD will due.

It's a DUAL Russian/Hungarian version, with good English subs & good image quality.

Thanks!
