Khalil is een ontheemde jongeman die leeft in een grensgebied met zowel industriële gebouwen als moerassen. Hij bezoekt regelmatig José Ramon, een oude man met een verontrustend verleden, die in een huis aan de rivier woont. José deelt zijn woning met zijn broer Martin, met wie hij al jaren niet meer spreekt.

Khalil is a young man torn from his roots who lives on the edge of town, where the industrial estates merge into the river and the marshes. Khalil gets by as best he can and spends his time with an old poacher, who shares a house on the riverbank with a brother he hasn't spoken to in years. On the banks of the marshes, the tides mark the time of love and heartbreak, of friendship and revenge.

Khalil est un jeune homme déraciné qui vit de petites combines, dans une zone frontalière où se côtoient bâtiments industriels et marécages. Il visite régulièrement Jose Ramon, un vieil homme au passé trouble qui habite une maison en bord de rivière. Cette maison, Jose Ramon la partage avec son frère Martin, à qui il n’a pas adressé la parole depuis des années. Khalil es un joven desarraigado que vive en la periferia de la ciudad, allí donde los polígonos industriales confluyen con el río y la marisma. Khalil se busca la vida como puede y pasa los días junto a un viejo furtivo, que comparte una casa en la orilla del río con un hermano con el que no se habla desde hace años. En las orillas de la marisma, las mareas marcan el tiempo del amor y el desamor, de la amistad y la venganza.
