The same plot points from Elvira. The protagonist of The Good Witch was even named "Cassandra"... a sexy woman with a quirky sense of humor with jet black hair. Sound familiar? It seemed to be a watered down version of Elvira for kiddies.

I couldn't believe how similar it was to the Elvira movie... aside from the exact same plot, much of the dialogue and camera angles were the same. The layout of the protagonist's house is the same, and so forth. It even featured a heavy set antagonist/ woman villain who was on the town moral council who was trying to blacklist Cassandra/ going around town petitioning against her and claiming that she was a witch. It seems to be changed just enough in order to avoid plagiarism/ avoid legal trouble. It reminds me of when a popular Disney or Pixar movie comes out to purchase in a store... two or three "poor man" versions of the same film usually pop up on DVD simultaneously.
