友川橙花（松本穗香 饰）遭遇了爱情和事业上的双重打击，心灰意冷的她失去了对于生活的热情。回到阔别已久的老家，橙花参加了母亲的三周年忌日，哪知道走进家门，看到的竟然是男扮女装的父亲青治（板尾创路 饰），青治告诉橙花，自己即将再婚了，而再婚的对象，竟然是一个名叫藤田和生（浜野谦太 饰）的男人，不仅如此，和生还有一个正在念高中的女儿。

　　橙花完全不能够接受父亲的决定，在这个节骨眼上，向来不按常理出牌的弟弟跳了出来，表示完全支持父亲的选择，不仅如此，他还决定帮他举办一场盛大的婚礼，而老家的乡亲们，似乎都接受了青治的选择。

事業婚姻都失意的橙花因母親的忌日回老家，意外發現父親穿著媽媽的衣服，不僅聲稱自己想當媽媽，還準備與一名男子和生結婚共組家庭？！弟弟阿翠跟來自斯里蘭卡的妻子珊姆都很樂見其成，唯獨橙花一直無法接受。和生還有一個讀高中的女兒黛里雅，她暗戀著同校同學小瀧，但小瀧自己也有一個秘密。

Toka keert terug naar het eiland waar ze opgroeide om de tweede herdenkingsdienst van haar moeder bij te wonen. Ze ontdekt dat haar vader Seiji de kleren van haar moeder draagt. Alsof dat nog niet zo schokkend is, vertelt Seiji Toka zelfs dat hij opnieuw gaat trouwen met een man genaamd Kazuo. Toka returns to the island she grew up to attend her mother's second memorial service. She finds out that her father Seiji is wearing her mother's clothes. As if that doesn't come as enough of a shock, Seiji even tells Toka that he is getting married again to a man named Kazuo. The film explores the particular incident and the life of the island people with a humorous touch.

東京で働く橙花(松本穂香)が母の三回忌で離島の実家に帰ると、なぜか父・青治(板尾創路)は母の服を着て生活していた。驚く橙花に青治はお調子者の居候・和生(浜野謙太)、生意気な高校生・ダリア(モトーラ世理奈)を紹介し、みんなで家族になると宣言。ぼう然とする橙花を尻目に、奇妙な共同生活がスタートする。

엄마의 기일을 맞아 외딴 섬에 있는 친정으로 돌아간 토카는 아빠 세이지가 엄마의 옷을 입고 생활하고 있는 모습을 보게 된다. 세이지는 놀란 토카를 신경 쓰지 않은 채 자신이 재혼하게 될 상대인 카즈오를 소개한다. 이 상황을 받아들이지 못한 토카와 너그러운 섬 주민들과의 생활을 때로는 재치 있게, 때로는 감동적으로 그려낸 이야기.
