Discuss The Miracle of Marcelino

I was a 10 year old boy in Madrid Spain in 1955 and attended the British Institute School. One classmate was the son of Ladislao Vajda, the director of this wonderful and classic Spanish movie. I was at the dinner table with the Vadja family and mine on the day after the filming of the electrifying scene of the hand of Jesus on the cross reaching down to Marcelino. Remember this is 1955 catholic Spain that was passionate about their religion. The director was having difficulty getting the hand just right and got angry the actor could not get it right. The director then demonstrated how the hand should be moving. His demonstration take was also filmed and during the daily rushes Mr Vajda decided to keep the shot of his own hand in the final cut. My dad, a Director of Cinematography in Spain and close friend of the Director Vajda reminded me many times about this dinner conversation of an extremely very famous scene in Spanish cinema.
