In the post-war Paris, a young Jewish boy whose parents were deported, met in the subway a well-off boy of the same age with whom he became friends. A second encounter with Max solitary character and rasping will mark him. With these two people the antipodes of one another he will reach adulthood.

Paris 1947. Victor et Felix ont quinze ans. Victor arrive de la campagne ou il a été élève après l'arrestation de ses parents. Il rencontre Felix, jeune homme à l'aise, dans le métro, où il est perdu. Felix l'aide a retrouver l'immeuble où il a vécu mais il n'y retrouve personne. Il trouve un travail de commis chez Max, brocanteur de banlieue au grand coeur. Pour Victor et son copain Felix, c'est l'apprentissage de la vie dans l'époque plus que morose de l'après-guerre.
