Haven't seen it, but it sure has a doozy of a plot. Sounds a bit like Jubal also from 1956 except Jubal is a gritty western whereas WotW sounds like a high society Park Ave intrigue. Both made the Criterion collection so I'm sure it's worth a watch!

Despite that I've seen massive quantity of oldies, this is one I don't believe I've ever seen.

I've seen bits & pieces but have never seen it from beginning to end.

I realized I didn't have a lot of Rock Hudson movies in my dbase (just because I've yet to find complete financials for many of them).

He did three movies with Doris Day (one of my favourites). They must have enjoyed working together.

I much preferred him in comedies. Although I did like 'Magnificent Obsession' & 'All That Heaven Allows'.

Love Doris Day. Her movies with Rock Hudson and Cary Grant are very entertaining.

Yep. I'm trying to see more of her, too. She was cute as a button in Teacher's Pet with Clark Gable.

Rock is a good match for Sirk's melodramas.
