I think that Pierce Brosnan did an excellent job on his first outing as James Bond. He certainly looked the part. His acting was good, and a good time was had by all (other than the bad guys, of course),

Next to Connery, Brosnan is my 2nd favorite Bond. Period. Goldeneye is my 2nd favorite movie to Goldfinger, as well.

Brosnan did a good job on GoldenEye. My late, great Irish mother was VERY happy when he got the job.

He was great in this... pity the 1990s Bond movies were a bit PC...
At least they had Izabella Scorupco... Beautiful Bond girl...

And it was very interesting to see Famke Jansen being one of the villains in a Bond movie before she became one of the heroes in the X-Men (or at least in the first two) movies.

@Renovatio Another great thing GoldenEye was the the theme song. Written by Bono and The Edge, sung by Tina Turner, perfection!

She should play evil more often... Also, yes, great song!

@Renovatio If you were a casting director, what kind of movies would you cast Famke Jansen in?

@PhelpsFan Most of them ;)
haha... seriously though, I'd love to see her in more dramas, thrillers and non-comicbook action movies as the antagonist...

@mechajutaro: Why was that?

@mechajutaro: Not at all. That's what I like James Bond franchise. There's something for everyone. As for me, loved the first three (except for Denice Richards playing a nuclear physicist), and I hated Die Another Day (except for the song) it really sucked. EVEN Sir Roger Moore thought the invisible car chase was too much. And yes, The CRAIG years are much better.

@mechajutaro I liked Pierce Brosnan. My Irish born mother loved Pierce Brosnan. I have heard that from several people who have met him that said that he's very nice.
But Daniel Craig is a better (you and me like Daniel Craig, Right?) Bond.

@mechajutaro I've always been a huge Timothy Dalton fan (in fact The Living Daylights is my third favorite movie of all time), and I'm glad that he started the more realistic portrayal that Daniel Craig has perfected.
