Item: Boys Love
Language: en-US
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Though it was later shown at some film festivals internationally, this movie was originally made for straight-to-DVD release in Japan, and was first released as such. See https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/BOYS_LOVE
However, it has been locked as not being straight-to-video.
Some of the data on this movie seems to be confused with that of its theatrically-released follow-up with (almost) the same title, 'Boys Love: The Movie'.

The video tag is not meant strictly for straight-to-video content; please read more about the video tag's purpose here.
I'm not too familiar with these two films, could you point out what data on this page is incorrect?

I hadn’t seen the page about new titles (I didn’t think to as I was only correcting existing entries, but I should have done) and so was thinking that TMDb made the same distinction as IMDb between theatrical, TV and video content but you’re right; this comes under “Movies released directly on video” so should have Video set to “No”. There might might a better way of naming this than “Video”, as that doesn’t really describe at all what it means here, and could be confused with referring to the medium of release.
Quite a lot of the info for one movie was in fact that of the other; I think by now I’ve already removed much of the worst of it, any more that needs to be done can be done any editor, except correcting the title of the second movie. But that would be best done by filing a report from its own page. So I think this issue can be considered resolved.
