Improving public schools is good, but this film drags

It is slightly over 2 hours but it seems much longer. They could have cut a lot of useless footage: walking down stairs or down a hall, etc. It might have been more successful if they had cut 20 minutes or more.
For the first hour, Maggie Gyllenhaal has a smile frozen on her face, almost nonstop. It became annoying.
