Nadat hij getuige is geweest van een brute afslachting, start de legendarische held Santana een onderzoek naar de moorden. Haast iedereen in het kleine stadje Indian Creek lijkt belang te hebben bij de moorden, zo ook de sheriff, zodat Santana genoodzaakt is om alleen op onderzoek te gaan.

After witnessing a brutal massacre, the legendary hero Sartana is ready to do some investigating. Almost everyone in the tiny town of Indian Creek seems eager to buy up the property left behind by the murder victims, and one of them could well be behind the killings. The sheriff himself is not above suspicion, so Sartana must uncover the culprit all on his own.

Sartana (Gianni Garko) assiste à l’assassinat de Benson, un prospecteur. Il se rend aussitôt à Indian Creek, rencontrer la nièce du défunt, Abigail, afin de lui proposer d’acheter le terrain qu’elle vient d’hériter. Mais ce terrain intéresse plusieurs personnes, car il dispose d’une mine d’or : Lee Tse Tung, tenant d’une maison de jeux, et Hoffman, un banquier malhonnête. Sartana va devoir mener une lutte sans mercis et ainsi démasquer les meurtriers de l’oncle d’Abigail.

Il pistolero Sartana, che ha assistito all'uccisione di Benson, un cercatore d'oro, si reca a Indian Creek per scoprire i mandanti del delitto. Qualche tempo dopo arriva nella cittadina una nipote del morto, Jasmine, che ha ereditato da lui un appezzamento di terreno.

Sartana investiga a morte violenta dos proprietários de uma mina de ouro, mas a chegada de uma misteriosa mulher, que se diz herdeira dos proprietários assassinados, complica a situação.

Sartana presencia una matanza de una familia de mineros. Mata a los asesinos y lleva los cuerpos hasta la ciudad de Indian Creek, donde además de cobrar la recompensas por ellos, les paga el entierro. Sartana se da cuenta de que muchos habitantes de la ciudad están deseosos de quedarse con la tierra de la familia asesinada.
