Scritta da Matthias Pacht, è una commedia di toni lividi e malinconici, un po' gratuitamente provocatoria, ma messa in immagini con apprezzabile asciuttezza da un regista esordiente che sa dirigere gli attori. Finale cupemente fiabesco.
