Discuss Wolf Creek

This famous scene is truly horrific, our heroine suddenly gets impaled, has her fingers sliced off then has her spine severed so that she’s paralysed, allowing Mick to interrogate her as to the whereabouts of her friend. We’re left to imagine what Mick did to her face, and indeed the rest of her body which she can no longer use or feel - in the full knowledge that he enjoys rape, torture, and keeping victims alive for as long as possible.

So, what do you imagine was the fate of Liz? What did Mick to do make her spill the beans? How long would you realistically survive with the wounds she suffered?

That's funny - I don't remember her getting impaled. When'd that happen?

He stuck his Bowie knife through her torso when he first appeared in the car.

I saw this in the theater when it first came out . . . a gruesome movie where the two heroines don't make it out alive . . . not sure in this "Me Too" era a film like this could get made (which is unfortunate . . . sad endings should be able to be depicted, too), but:

My impression was that Mick was in a hurry to find Kristy, so that as soon as he got the information he needed from Liz, he killed her (Liz). So, in that sense, Liz was lucky: no rape or additional torture.

I do remember that there was a lot of debate "on that other movie site", however, as to whether or not Mick raped Kristy after he captured her (before Liz rescued her and Kristy managed to [temporarily] escape). And, my thought was that Mick did rape her (Kristy).

Just my two cents.
