Mr. Turk was 49.
Here's his New York Daily News obituary. From it:
Brian Turk, an actor best known for his role as a strongman in the 2000s HBO series “Carnivale," died...from complications due to brain cancer....// Over a decadeslong career, Turk had roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Boy Meets World,” “ER,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Two and a Half Men” and “General Hospital," among others.

How very tragic to endure dire illness to threaten his health and to halt his career and to pass at such a young age as his 40's.
