Biografía

Director, editor and producer. Jordan River has made significant contributions to the industry of cinematography; as an author/expert on new technologies, he wrote such publications as “3D Stereoscopico” (FAG Edizioni Milano); “Comunicare in 3D” (Bruno Editore). As producer and director of documentaries and other audiovisual content, his quality work has been rewarded by receiving numerous film festival awards, and recognition from industry associations, etc. Furthermore, he has been a guest and speaker at various professional conferences, including Rome Fiction Fest (2009), Venice International Film Festival (2009), Rome International Film Festival (2009), Festival de Cannes (2010) and the Cinema 3D Workshop at the 8th Festival Cinemada Mare, which was attended by 100 directors from 47 foreign countries. Jordan River has had a rich, and diversified portfolio of successful career experiences to date; for example, some of his productions at a very young age garnered two directing awards, and were even broadcast on Italian network and cable TV, including Sky. After various work-experiences in Los Angeles (USA) and training periods in Europe, including the London Film Academy (UK), and the City, University of London (UK), he directed and produced in Italy the first 3D stereovision, immersive documentaries. In 2015, he directed and produced “Hollywood Italian Lifestyle 3D”, filmed in the USA, and winner of the Global Music Award (for music composed by Angelo Talocci). In 2016, he was director and executive producer of “Shaolin Tea Ceremony” (Official Selection at the Universal Martial Arts Film Festival in France). “Shaolin Tea Ceremony”, filmed at the Shaolin Temple in Los Angeles, and realized in collaboration with the YFF Foundation USA, reveals for the first time the elegant complexity of the ancient tea ceremony as practiced for centuries in Shaolin monasteries. He directed and produced “Stonehenge, The Temple of the Druids” (The Lift-Off Sessions Pinewood Studios, UK; International Nature Film Festival; Golden Award Winner International Screen Awards), filmed in 4K in the Wiltshire, England. Jordan River’s movies have won various significant international awards, for example: “The Origins of Cinematography” (distributed by Istituto Luce Cinecittà) recently won Best Documentary by the 2018 Nevada International Film Festival and “Caravaggio, The Power Light”, awarded as Best Documentary at the 22nd Siena International Film Festival. In 2019, he directed “Dance, The Audition” (RAI Television). In 2020, he directed and produced “Artemisia Gentileschi, Warrior Painter” (awarded as Best Documentary at the 24nd Terra di Siena International Film Festival 2020; Best Feature Docudrama at Global Nonviolent Film Festival 2020, Finalist at Los Angeles Cinematography Awards 2020, Official Selection at International Documentary Festival Visioni dal Mondo 2020). Despite all these numerous awards, Jordan River is not resting on his laurels: he continues to work on new international projects, and pursue cutting edge innovative technologies to bring to market exciting and quality audiovisual content for the enjoyment of consumers worldwide.
