This gentle person was so upset by portraying such a cold, murderous character like Paul Cicero in Goodfellas he considered quitting the job - Scorsese had to convince him to stay on.

RIP Mr. Sorvino! He could convey so much with just a look, as evidenced in Goodfellas.
EDIT: I didn't realize we were discussing Mira's father! My condolences go out to her and the rest of her family.
