Item: 黑礁
Language: zh-CN
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: From Wikipedia, imdb, and Netflix broadcast information, you can see that black lagoon has 3 seasons in total, namely 12 episodes, 12 episodes, and 5 episodes. Currently tmdb combines the first two seasons into one season, which is also the special season OVA. The content of the three seasons is confusing, and the correct 5 episodes are the current episodes 8-13. Please unlock to fix.

they make a good point, regardless of if its an OVA or how it was released it is continuously numbered part of the series so by the guidelines those episodes should be moved to season 1?
otherwise shouldn't it be added as another series? the guidelines:
everything indicates whatever the choice is its not being part of "specials"

Now that everything seems to have been said, would it be possible to change the seasons for Black Lagoon? (just to back up what I said, Attack on Titan, directly in the anime, has a continuous numbering, which doesn't prevent it from having its 4 separate seasons on TMDB, so I don't see why it couldn't be the case for Black Lagoon)

As already answered, no.
As already indicated in the content reports of Attack on Titan, this anime is in our list of anime where the seasons need to be merged. This will be done by the administrator at a future date, not yet defined.

Ah yes, so it's even worse than I thought! It's already completely idoit to merge the seasons of the anime for no reason (and no, the continuous numbered episodes are not a good argument since that's not how the organization of a series works in Japan), you want to create even more problems.... Do you realize that if people have been crying for Black Lagoon for 8 years, it's going to be hell if you touch an anime like Attack on Titan? You might have to admit that your organization system is just not adapted with anime and make, as your guideline bible says, use other anime related data base sites to adjust the information. The big anime like One Piece, Fullmeta Alchemist and others are logically in one season because they were broadcasted in continuous. But from the moment when anime are cut in series of 12 or 24 episodes, you have to understand that they are seasons (OF COURSE WHEN THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE INDICATES SEVERAL SEASONS). In case it wasn't clear yet, I'm not going to give up because I think it's just stupid to stupidly say "no it's only one season because the episodes are numbered continuously" without wanting to even listen and give real arguments because not once did you give us even one website that would go in your direction. To take another example, Pokémon, as far as I know, the main anime is finished and yet I didn't see that you plan to merge the seasons. Thinking with your pseudo-logic, we could even say that we should merge Naruto and Naruto Shippuden since the broadcasting was continuous, one ending on February 8th 2007 and the other one starting on February 15th 2007. And yet they are 2 different ANIME on TMDB. So it's time to listen to the people who are complaining and consider that they might be right instead of repeating "as I already said" or "to solve your problem, I invite you to go to this discussion". Since this is going to be a silly cockfight anyway, it might be interesting to have other moderators outside of the case, preferably those who have never been on the Black Lagoon topic, or even people higher up in your hierarchy, take a look and give their opinion on the matter. By the way, it took me almost an hour to write this post, so please show some respect and don't dismiss it out of hand.

yea gotta say this is a pretty absurd rule that doesn't properly take anime/Japanese tv into account as clearly there is anime that is continuously numbered yet is season based. Saying AoT is 1 season is patently false (they literally are calling season for the final season lol) and it should 100% not be put into a the database as a single season and episode groups don't make sense when, it is not one season. Also emby/plex do not support episode groups, and will not anytime soon. emby has had a multiple feature requests for it for over 5 years now.
I can only imagine the reason they haven't done AoT yet is there will be backlash and i imagine the day they do that is the day i finally migrate my anime library fully over to something else as there are more and more cases where this rule is being applied ruining the experience, and just not use TMDB for anything anime related. Shame. Its fantastic for media that follows western conventions.
