Yes, I agree, the Brenda years were the best, the show definitely went downhill after she left.

I was not a poster on the boards but when I got re-obsessed with 90210 some years ago, I discovered your community. And it made me laugh and laugh. Where is nutsberry indeed.

So the appropriate response to 'did the show jump the shark after Brenda left?' is: the show jumped the shark when it started. Because we hate this show. But we love it. And we watch it every time it comes on and talk about the episode live on IMDb for the 16th re-run!

And this is not a plug but a head's up. The 90210 board made the cut to be archived on that other site I saw Stratego at. Not all the posts are there but some are.

Thank you! I don't like that website's format. It looks like it's from the 1990s and I don't like that you can't search or post for individual movies like you can on here. So for now I'll come here and hope that it will grow!

No, I don't like it either. Maybe it's interesting to those who mostly frequented the general boards on IMDb.

I've seen the 90210 version, not the "original". I do like Shannen Doherty though (because of Charmed!), and liked that she also made an appearance in the 90210 version. I liked seeing the "old" BH, 90210 characters, the later seasons of the new version were... meh, because they all were gone.

I'm also a former IMDB'er. Glad I found this site!

I also missed Brenda. I missed her "Take no crap" attitude but also her caring side. I think she was better with Dylan than Kelly was.

Patty, I missed Brenda, too! She was the glue of the show.

Just curious, why do you think that she was better with Dylan than Kelly was? Was Kelly too much drama?

Movies: I think Brenda was better for Dylan because Brenda cared about other people more than she did about herself. Kelly was too much about "Kelly." Kelly was too jealous if someone else came in to Dylan's life and needed help. Remember how Kelly said "I choose me." She was just too selfish. Brenda was strong but she could be vulnerable too. I don't know, she just seemed more real somehow.

Patty, you make a lot of sense! I miss the show, but it's started playing on the channel Pop, if you get that where you live.

Yes, I noticed that! I have a DVR so I have recorded some of my favorites. They just started the series over again. I like the first season when we're just getting to know everyone. They were less annoying, except for David LOL!
