在被雪覆盖的寂静山村里，村人一个接一个失聪，而真火却因为听见太多的声音无法正常生活。这一切都与寄生在他们耳中的虫有关。驱逐它们的秘密就藏在真火的体内，提示的线索则在真火母亲的遗言里。危急关头，银古终于找到了答案。他教真火捂住耳朵，听见了自己体内如熔岩般的巨响，那是比任何生命都强大的求生意志。虫终于被真火的生命之声赶出了体外。

On silent snowy nights, when no sounds can be heard, many people go deaf in one or both ears. The doctors can't do anything, so they think it might be paranormal. Ginko looks into some of the villager's ears and he tells them that the cause is a Mushi called "Un". After dealing with their small problems there is one more person who has lost sound in both of his ears and his condition is very different than the other people's, as he has also grown four horns on his head.

Nas noites silenciosas de neve, quando nenhum som pode ser ouvido, muitas pessoas ficam surdas de um ou ambos os ouvidos. Os médicos não podem fazer nada, então acham que pode ser paranormal. Ginko olha nos ouvidos de alguns aldeões e diz que a causa é um Mushi chamado "Un". Depois de lidar com seus pequenos problemas, há mais uma pessoa que perdeu o som em ambos os ouvidos e sua condição é muito diferente da das outras pessoas, pois também lhe cresceram quatro chifres na cabeça.
