Discuss Lost in Space

in real life doctor smith would of been thrown in a turbo lift. if actual science fiction writers had written the show smith and the rest would of developed more like star trek did.

The character walks the tightrope of funny and annoying for me. The direction it went in after the initial setup was a missed opportunity. I hated the 1998 movie and quit the Netflix reboot before the end of the first episode, neither got it right. IMO, Lost in Space should be fun without being overly silly or childish and serious enough for the stakes to matter.
