I agree about Cat and Niko. I understood some of the critique but I actually preferred their design to Melissa and Keaghan. At least you could tell it was a statue inspired by the Statue of Liberty. The other team was supposed to be an evil queen / princess but I personally couldn't really think so. I am so ready for them to leave. Gage and Rachel too. They don't work well together.

I think the couple to beat now is Emily and Tyler. They are my favorite. I loved their ice princess and their jekyll & mr hyde from tonight. So glad they are safe next week.

Really wish Cat and Niko wouldn't have spent so much time on sculpting the hair. They had some good designs and should have lasted longer then they did.

I actually like the team concept. Working in teams would be normal in actual work. And, hopefully, the partners strengths and weaknesses compliment each other.

Last night's Wasteland Warriors was my favorite concept so far this season. I really liked Emily and Tyler's design, but agree it missed the mark of the challenge. Hopefully they lose the black out contacts as those didn't make sense. I hate 'to be continued' episodes though!

Just curious how do you think it missed the mark?

@Costumers if going by looks alone, they would have won hands down, the makeup and headpiece were gorgeous, the costume and piercings were really cool. Sticking with the wasteland (MadMax) theme though, I thought the black out lenses didn't make sense, as one of the judges stated, they made her look more Hellraiseresque and as much as I love that headpiece, I am not sure how it would hold up in a open dune buggy type car or being as big as it was, if it would even fit inside of the car. JMHO

I am sure with a few minor corrections, they will come out on top next episode.

I've really been enjoying this season. I'm curious how they're going to have a winner, if it will be a winning team or eventually dissolve the teams and have it be a free for all from then on. Emily & Tyler and Cig & George are clearly the two strongest teams. They've been owning these challenges. I've been disappointed in Ben since he was one of my favorites in his season, but I think Evan has been dragging him down. They should have brought back Jordan. He was a much stronger artist.

Yes, I think at this point it is between Tyler & Emily and Cig & George. The episode before last with the leather cowboy and the cotton doll with the felt face, both of those designs were awesome! I am glad I didn't have to choose the winning team on that one....

As for this last ep...Spoilers ahead...

It was definitely time for Melissa and Keagan to be eliminated, that fairy was awful. I think Mel could have lasted a bit longer if she hadn't been teamed up with Keagan. That's what sucks about the team concept, if you have the bad luck of being partnered with a weaker team mate, it is going to be a struggle, leaving the teams with two strong artists dominating the season. I am hoping they break them up into singles soon. JMO

I agree. I think the next group to go will be Logan and Adam. Ben and Evan has been slightly better, in my opinion, and will probably make the top three teams.

I don't know if they will have a winning team and then pick the ultimate winner out of the two. When they have had team challenges in the past, that's what they did. If they do that, I am betting on Emily. She has done some outstanding things this season. I love how Tyler is always giving her the props when she is responsible for something good about their looks. He is a really great support for her. If Cig & George win, I am not sure who would edge who out.

It is going to be a tough finale. I can't wait. I can because I don't want it to end, but I am looking forward to it.

For a season called 'All-Stars', you would think that there would be many awesome designs, but so far I haven't been blown away by anything yet.

I think they came up with this concept because they thought it would result in high-quality work. Two designers per team, and both of them have been on the show before, many with a decent level of success. I think it has worked pretty well - we have seen some fantastic work in some of the episodes, and I do think the overall level of quality has been a lot better than a "normal" season.

Teams to beat are Tyler & Emily and Cig & George for sure.

Just want to clarify, that at the time of my first post, I think I was on episode 2? Since then there have been many impressive characters. My favorites as of now are Emily & Tyler's Felt/Cotton Doll and Cig & George's Leather Cowboy.

I can see the points on doing the team challenge. For example Emily is top notch at make up application, creative concepts and of course hair work. But if I remember correctly, she struggled sometimes with sculpting on her season. While others are good at sculpting but struggle with the rest. With the teams they are able to concentrate on their strong points. Haha, I guess I am just focusing on how bad it would suck to get stuck with a crappy partner...

So what are some of your favorite designs so far this season?

The dwarf and the ogre by Cig and George from this last episode was brilliant. I also really liked the Electric shock makeup Emily and Tyler did for episode 5. And, their puppet from the episode before last was amazing. I agree with your assessment also - the best teams are ones where each person is great at different things than their partner. Emily is so good and hair and painting while Tyler is one of the best sculptors and coming up with original ideas. They compliment each other very well.

Wow. I was not expecting the teams to be broken up and going to single elimination and winners last night.

I think Emily and Tyler have been such a good team, they still buddied up naturally. I knew the George, Cig, Ben and Evan would ultimately be the stronger team. I wanted them to win but I was so nervous that Emily or Tyler might get sent home. So glad they didn't.

For me Logan just didn't have a good attitude from the start. He seemed pissed to be with Emily and Tyler. It appeared he was trying hard to exert his dominance over them, especially Emily. Idk. I have always liked him and he may not have. That's just how I saw it. Oh well. I expected the team of Logan and Adam to be the next to go. So I wasn't all that shocked for him to be eliminated.

Sorry for the long post.

I agree with you about Logan. He seemed to be antagonistic to the super teams from the start and didn't seem to want to listen to the other members of his team.
