死亡依然在村子里蔓延，而且死的人越来越多，敏夫把医院的人召集起来，跟他们说村子里可能爆发了新型传染病，但是目前没有证实，不便和村民公开。 武藤彻在自动贩卖机的时候碰到了桐敷家的仆人辰巳，两人说了一会话，武藤彻邀请辰巳到他家玩。 夏野被清水惠的噩梦缠身，已经接连好几天没有睡好觉了，在到小彻家玩的时候倒头就睡。晚上夏野做梦梦到了清水惠带着一个男人进入小彻的房间，然后清水惠露出獠牙咬了小彻的脖子，吸了他的血。夏野从梦中惊醒，却发现小彻毫发无伤，便又睡过去。

Dr. Ozaki holds a meeting with the staff at the clinic and announces his belief that an epidemic of unknown origin is present in the town and his killed 19 people. He asks them to be vigilant in looking for people exhibiting the known symptoms but not to tell anyone in fear of starting a mass panic.

Natsuno continues to have dreams about Megumi staring at him through his bedroom window. The dreams become so disturbing for him that he has trouble sleeping and ask to spend the night at his friend Tooru's house. That night Natsuno has the most vivid dream yet, that Megumi is now in the room with him.

繰り返される死、夜中の引越し、うつろな視線の村人たち。

不安な兆候があっても、そこから何も掴むことができず浮かんだ疑問は闇の中に消えていく。

O Dr. Ozaki tem uma reunião com a equipe da clínica e anuncia sua crença de que uma epidemia de origem desconhecida está presente na cidade e matou 19 pessoas. Ele pede que eles fiquem vigilantes ao procurar pessoas que exibam os sintomas conhecidos, mas não digam a ninguém com medo de iniciar um pânico em massa.

Natsuno se va a la cama cada noche cuidadoso de una presencia asomándose a él a través de su ventana.
