What happened to this show? What used to be a show with wry observations about self-obssessed, over-privileged, but insecure young people, has devolved into trying to show that Lena Dunham is apparently irresistable to all men and women. The first episode of season six gave a nice display of how the dumbest, most obnoxious, selfish, unlikeable, homeliest, fat and out of shape girl, could attract the hot, cool surf instructor by being the sluttiest. Great message to girls there, Lena. Then, not only is she bad at sex, she even throws up all over the guy's room and he barely notices. These aren't real people any more.

Seems to me it has more to do with the crowd/guys she's surrounded by lately than irresistibility (like for example the type oaf guys in episode 1 and 3).

I thought Lena Dunham's infatuation was with her little sister? Perhaps you're right. Maybe Lena just wanted to see herself in her.

Episode three was so predictable. I knew where it was going from the minute she walked in. The writing so far is incredibly weak. Obviously Dunham has run out of ideas. And once again, she has a character describing her as "just another pretty face." This has become a vast ego trip for the brilliant, and beautiful Hannah (Lena).

just another pretty face refers to someone of no particular distinction, it's not necessarily tied to being good looking.

Yes it is. If it referred to someone of no particular distinction, the phrase would be "just another face."
