Apareixen restes indies antigues al jardí de Maggie, i Maurice organitza la seva extracció i catalogació. Un noi de 12 anys, fugit d'un campament, apareix a Cicely i troba relació amb Holling i Chris. Ed té somnis sobre la destrucció del medi ambient i vol fer alguna cosa per evitar-ho.

Ed becomes gloomy about the future and begins to share Mike's visions about the future. Maggie digs up some artifacts from an ancient female in her front yard and Maurice wants to turn it into a major excavation. A young boy who runs away from a survival camp gets a job at "The Brick" to cover his room and board; he also falls madly in love with Shelly. Maggie and the rest of the women band together against the men who have dominated the dig in her front yard.

Maggie findet in ihrem Vorgarten indianische Antiquitäten, woraufhin Maurice mit Erick und Ron zu archäologischen Ausgrabungen anrückt. Maggie encuentra en su jardín un yacimiento arqueológico compuesto por los antiguos útiles de una mujer india. Maurice, presto como siempre a hacer negocio, quiere convertir el lugar en una excavación. Maggie, indignada por su falta de escrúpulos, decide declararles la guerra a los hombres en general. Por otra parte, Ed empieza a tener pesadillas apocalípticas y a preocuparse por el futuro de la humanidad, mientras que Holling acoge a un joven fugitivo con el que se siente identificado ignorando que se ha enamorado locamente de Shelly.
