Discuss Gilmore Girls

I thought it was okay. I didn't love it or hate. Rory's storyline was a mess. Luke and Lorelai relationship managed to stay frozen for nine years so that the viewers could see their wedding. Emily was the best thing about the revival, I loved her storyline. It was great seeing everyone. Seeing Jess, warmed my team Jess heart.

I liked the revival better than season 6 and 7 I think Dean and Jess had good storylines I didn't care for Logan that much. I wished Edward Herrmann could"ve been in it I wished they had the same theme song I thought it was good.

I didn't care for it. I went into it liking Rory and left it really, really disliking her. lol. So much so that I'm not even sure I would watch any future episodes they may make. I went into it rooting for Rory and Logan or Rory and Jess ending up together... Now I don't want her with either one. I really hated that they left it with Jess still pining over Rory. Move the heck on, dude, she's not worth it! I didn't like Lorelei and Luke's storyline either. They really should have been married long before the revivial imo.

Yeah, I wasn't Team Logan, but ASP did Team Logan dirty. He came out looking the worst of Rory's exes. There's talks of doing more Gilmore Girls, and I'm not interested.

I completely agree. Both Rory and Logan were so skeevy with their unapologetic cheating that it ruined their entire relationship for me. I just read an article about it on Yahoo, and Milo is supposedly not interested in signing on. I don't think Matt and Jared are interested either. So we're basically going to see Rory dealing with her unplanned pregnancy and a random new suitor. No thanks.

I can't imagine anyone signing on except for Bleidel.

Always HATED Logan along with the way Rory dumped Dean and made him feel like crap when he came to pick her up the night he found her with Logan at her Grandmother's house.

Don't have Netfilx and haven't seen it, but read this recap of it:

read:http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/gilmore-girls-netflix-revival-everything-that-happened-w452376

And was wondering if there's any chance Dean could be the father of the baby because it says this:

Within moments of each other, there were scenes that showed Rory reuniting with Dean (Jared Padalecki), and >Lorelai reuniting with Sookie (Melissa McCarthy)! Rory told Dean that he had been a great boyfriend and positively >impacted her for life.

So what kind of a reunion was it? Very brief, you could tell they kept in touch since she knew some of the going ons in his life.

Is Dean still married to the other girl? Not Lindsay, but someone he met afterwards.

Is there any chance Dean and Rory had another affair again even if he is still married? *Rory was having an affair with Logan, it's Logan's baby. Nothing from her brief encounter with Dean alluded to another affair. *

She's such a fool for dumping him for Logan, especially after Dean had also spent all of that time fixing up that car for her back when they were still teenagers. Dean and Rory never should have gotten back together and Dean dumped her

And it's also the fault of Emily that Logan ever entered the picture. I don't see how this is true

And how did the therapy sessions go between Emily and Lorelai? Pointless, all Lorelai needed was to look out at nature to get clarity.

Did the shrink tell them how toxic their relationship was with each other? No, because she was terrible at her job.

Not unless Dean also ends up being an absentee father to it like Rory's Bio Dad has been to her? If the show comes back, Rory will be a single mom. No Dean, Logan, or Jess.

Are there also plans for another addition being made to this REVIVAL part of the story? it's all just speculation right now, and hopefully it won't happen since mostly everyone has moved on to other projects.

@Invidia,

There is unfortunately not much I can say about Dean in the Revival. He only had one scene in Fall, but it was one of the better scenes in the entire thing. He bumped into Rory in Doose's Market, and they had a nice conversation that brought a nice sense of closure. Dean was married with three kids and is very over Rory, so the chances of him having an affair with her again are pretty much nil. Lorelei and Emily were not in a good place at the beginning because they are both mourning Richard's passing in different ways. They eventually reached a break through, and it was actually one of the stronger storylines in the whole thing. I didn't like Logan at first, but warmed up to him and his relationship with Rory by the time the show ended. After this revival, I'm back to disliking him again. Both Rory and Logan were terrible people in this imo.

However, I would say the character who got the shortest end of the stick was Jess. He didn't have many scenes in the revival and was left staring sadly at Rory through a window like the old man in Home Alone who missed his family lol...creepily still pining over her ten years later. I wish they would have had him move on from Rory like Dean did.

No news on how long it will be before the continuation is released, but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything noteworthy to happen. All three of Rory's previous suitors most likely won't be involved. I think it was mainly to launch the next phase of Rory's life, and I see it going in a different direction from the previous series.

Emily was the one who didn't think Dean was good enough for Rory. That's why she has the coming out party, because she was introducing her grandchild into High Society. And Logan was invited because the grandmother saw him as being a potential suitable enough mate for Rory. Without her interference, Rory might still be in a relationship with Dean instead of floundering all around all over the place like a fish out of water.

That wasn't a coming out party. She had that when she was younger and Dean was her date. That was just a party for Rory to meet Yale men. Emily and Richard invited their friends and their sons.

Yes you're right. They just aired the eppy where RORY attends her COMING OUT party with DEAN (after they also take dance lessons from PATTI).

Patti also did some very IMPRESSSIVE PIROUETTES in that scene where each time she SPINS around she says HELLO SAILOR (as a way to teach her dance pupils how to spin).

After recently watching the show again, also noticed how DEAN begins to WORK too much (the same way as Rory does with her school work after they first meet). So one also wonders if that could be a pay back for the way she was too busy to spend time with him?

And TRISTIN flirting with her also sets up the situation where JESS takes his place once he's gone. And then LOGAN takes the place of JESS later on as still more competition for DEAN.

But DEAN still made that CAR for her which was also more special than what any of the others ever did for her.

And since her mother also kept sleeping with CHRIS each time she had a falling out with MAX or with LUKE( or with the other guy she dated who worked for her father), one also suspects DEAN will be the father or Rory's baby.

Because that way she could also be FREE to remain FREE and not have to be TIED DOWN to or obligated to anyone (because DEAN would probably also agree to keep the paternity of the baby a SECRET from his wife and the rest of the town).

But if LOGAN or that other guy were the father, then she'd probably also have legal obligations to let them share custody of the child, etc.

So one still also hopes that it turns out to be DEAN's child, because he's less likely to cause trouble or make as many demands if he's the father of the child.

And she won't feel pressured to marry him when he's already married.

Also read an article yesterday that says the actress who plays the part of LORELAI is FREE to make more GILMORE stories now due to the way the other project she was involved in fell through.

I like the part where Lorelai and Christopher dance. I am not team Christopher, but I like their dynamic. Honestly, I may get stoned for this, but I don't really want any more Gilmore Girls, because I am looking forward to Amy's new show on Amazon. Have you watched the pliot?
