Hello all,

recently, due to supporting some changes to the Trakt.TV site which interfaces with TMDB, I was reviewing some TV shows which I watched in the past or that ones I'm watching 'em now.

Starting from this Alfred Hitchcock's show, I'd like to report to you and to admins of TMDB a different point of view about special episodes that are so widespread used into the normal profile of a TV show.

In all these years in which I got hooked with TV shows, I've always got more of the idea that the special episodes, since we call them "episodes", should be considered only the real episode, i.e. aired between one season and another, or under particular periods of the year (for example in the Chistmas days), the webisodes, etc, etc. Or at most a "behind the scenes" episode which could be illustrate what we could see in the season.

So, I think that from the list of the special episodes should be excluded interviews, television services, documentary (about the show or the director), TV movies or cinema movies based on the same characters and facts narrated in the TV shows (if it's a movie, it's a movie, stop, not a special episode of the show). Specially if all these ones are aired many years after the TV shows.

In sight of this, for this show for me all the specials could be deleted because of they are not episodes as I said.

What do you think about this point of view and could be reviewed the shows modifying the specials section of each of them in this way?
