Season 1 was great. It really annoys me they have to go the supernatural route with season 2 and the demon thing. Why can't the writers just continue with the scientific answers for what's happening? Too much supernatural overload in everything these days.

Just finished S3.
Why did they want to kill the doctor at the end? She seemed to be onboard with whatever the company wanted her to do. Did they figure they were far enough along to create a viable product and wanted to wash their hands of any wrongdoing, close all lose ends? She had the last laugh by destroying all her work in the helicopter. Still, she got what she deserved.

It wasn't clear that they really did want to kill her. The pilot opened her own door, it would been really, really hard to throw the doc out that door. I took it as the doc getting paranoid because, after all, she was engaged in a massive conspiracy herself so she would be very distrustful of everyone else too. But then the question is why did the pilot ask her to take off the seatbelt and headphones? I dunno. This series does suffer from people doing stupid/unexplainable things just to move the plot along.

I thought the pilot was checking the area to see if it was a suitable place to push the doctor off the copter.

What would have been an unsuitable place?

A place with a lot of people around. A place where she might somehow survive?

LOL I don't know, I think it was just a natural thing; to check the area to say to herself, "Okay, I guess this looks like as good a place as any." or something like that.
