All the personal lives seem messed up. The case of the week is the only thing keeping it going. Can't these people be happy?

In Geordie's case, I guess it's a "grass is always greener ..." situation.
I feel bad for the wife. She seems so loving and honest and true. Not very many women like that.

Geordie may be having a mid-life crisis. Not an excuse but an explanation. He feels younger and more vibrant because he can still bag the hot babe. The young gun in the office may blackmail him to get a promotion.
