Discuss The Missing

So, after she took her father out of the hospital, the police found a body in the trunk of a car, but after pulling it out, they never showed the face. Was it her father? Did she kill him? Also, was he faking his illness the whole time? He certainly was a schmuck, but wouldn't justice have been better served for him to spend his remaining years in jail rather than being killed?

Or was the body in the trunk the officer that Gertz killed?

Sorry, there are just so many unanswered questions about things that happened in this show.

And I was totally hoping they'd have just put a bullet in Gertz's head (I know, I'm a hypocrite. I wanted the Sargent's father to go to jail rather than being killed, but I want Gertz dead, lol). I'm also really glad that Alice was still alive. When they opened the door, and the SWAT guy's hand fell to his side, my heart sank because I thought they'd found her body and Gertz had killed her.

That was officer jorn lenhart he was killed by Adam gettrick in gettrick home after he saw Lucy. He'd figured out Sophia/ Alice had been there because Sophia had a child.

Yeah, I knew he was killed (what a freaky and gruesome way to die!), but they never prior to that ending showed what had been done with the body, so when (I'm sorry, but I'm HORRIBLE with names and the only reason I know Alice and "Sophie" is because they were such a focal point from the beginning) the Sargent took her dad out, they never showed what happened after that, and that's why I got confused and wasn't sure if it was the officer, or the Sargent's dad. But after thinking about it, I did think it was probably the officer.
