They mention it like 2-3 times in this episode, imagine the hell which would break if you would substitute white people with black people. I like this TV show, but this was way over line, not funny.
EDIT: S3E16 - again, only once but it seem they can't make episode without making sure we hear they are not white people

I don't understand- Why would there be hell if they said something like "We don't sing rap, we are not black people". They are poking fun at themselves aren't they, saying look we are different and so we behave differently than the majority, i.e. white folks.

they use it in negative connotations like they are better than those white people
I'm newest episode they haven't used it, I was shocked, though i will probably give up after this season, not really much fun anymore, they make Jessica completely crazy with too much focus on her and each episode follow exactly same scheme, how she get angry about something, how they are dealing with it and in the end how she make some slight correction or not, Goldbergs are similar with traditional structure but at least have more pop culture references and good score.

I am Indian and we actually do some amount of looking down upon white people. We will say things @home like "we are not like white people because we won't have children out of wedlock or get divorced or have single parent families" The intent is to be realistic, so they want to show that Chinese folks do say such things at home. It's a bit like how in "All in the family" Archie Bunker spouts all kinds of incredibly racist things.

I'm sorry but I happen to be a white man who enjoys this and blackish very much I have found nothing racist here or in blackish that was bad enough for e to quit watching so I guess its your choice whether to get offended or not

LOL I don't see the complaints by you but I'm not white. I like most people of color just like the show for the funny jokes and 90's nostalgia.

I know it really creeps me out. I swear I was just in high school not too long ago then a show like this comes on and really reminds us HOW LONG AGO high school really was. I love how the show had SHAQ in it during that car dealership episode. Many know SHAQ as a NBA commentary talk show host or by being a spokes person for his endorsements they don't remember how famous and popular he was way back in his prime. The 90's has a ton of these forgotten jewels like the whole OJ Simpson drama, RENT, Titanic, Scottie Pippen, Kenny Rogers, Michael Bolton, I love how they are really getting all these big 90's names on the show! The whole episode with Janet Jackson really brought me back as I too had a blonde girl who was heavily into Janet Jackson she even dressed like her as well like how Eddie's girlfriend did for that one episode!
