I was so disappointed in the final season. It was a bit boring and I was hoping all my questions would be answered. Hardly any were.

Was Kevin Roy's son? What was that recurring dream of the Rayburn siblings about? Who is Beth? Is John going to tell Nolan the truth?

I guess we'll never know. That ruins the whole series, for me. Makes watching it a waste of time.

I just finished it and I couldn't agree more. This was absolutely terrible. Way too much left unanswered for it to just end like that!!!!! EXTREMELY disappointed. I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many questions.

The filming was horrible. Too many scenes were too dark. Too much drinking and too many telephone calls. It also got to the point where it hard to tell when John was hallucinating and what was real time.

Totally agree. Not in the same league as seasons 1&2. That episode with John hallucinating went on for far too long. The only good thing to come out of this season was Kevin going to jail and Sally not being able to sell her Inn grinning

I felt the hallucination episode was a waste of time. That could have been an episode dedicated to answering questions. Even though I wasn't a fan of Kevin and Sally, I was hoping everything would work out for all of them.

(SSL) Bloodline was a series that I was practically swinging from the trees singing it's name to all who would listen, ok well I was certainly very enthusiastic in recommending it to everyone at a time in which it was virtually unknown to most. All of those poor people that have viewed S3 including myself now. As I started into S3 it didn't take long before my hand was on the FF button, not that I didn't use a bit of that in the past. It's a tricky thing when you have a series with loathful characters, knowing when to stop before they make the audience physically ill to continue to watch and see the crap coming out of their collective mouths>this is imo a representation of season three(more or less).

The writers went too dark and twisted up their characters core principles far past the cast that they took their sweet time in developing, bloodline was a series of nonstop character development they wrote these people to such effect that you felt you really knew them yourselves . I get it, that's what it's about, that perfect family gathering together for a wonderful wedding in ep1s1 they introduced us to all of these people living good, honest ethical lives until the bad penny shows up(Danny) and we watched the onion peel on these not so perfect people. Toss in some past, present and future criminal activity and closets filled with skeletons made for an epic drama for two seasons. That much is in the books, not just imo, but critically acclaimed and very popular virtually everywhere with people when word finally did get around.

I always liked and respected John(even if he was a cop he was honorable imo) he had a very strong moral value, and was a straight shooter, he never let anything go, strict, but fair. Let's fast forward to S3, John doesn't have a single speck left of the John from S1 and for the most part in S2, he still had his principles despite the horrible chain of events. I did not blame him for killing Danny at the time, BUT I very much blame him for it now when I see how he conducted himself afterwards and dragging his entire family into it like wtf John? Danny was a hateable character, but he may have been the best of the Rayburn family, he was always dealt a sh!tty hand, but he was a very hard worker and he meant well, but with the son Nolan doing the arson job at Danny's restaurant unbeknown to him with no insurance on the place. In a way Nolan was right when he confessed. He started this entire ordeal or let's instead say he lit the match for what was to come, but he had nothing to do with everything that occurred afterward, people need to be held accountable, Nolan didn't make these people do the things they did. Danny got a very raw deal in life in a number of ways which made him make and do questionable things, I remember when he first got into town when he ran into his old bud Eric O'Bannon who offered him a quick job to make some illegal cash he outright refused him, it was only after the way his so called family made him feel like an outsider and basically pushed him away. His family was his trigger unfortunately and he should have never came home, there was a point where Danny was pushed to far and that is when he created his master plan to manipulate his family the way he did and they deserved it from my view

Season 3 is basically entirely about karma imo as the Rayburn's all reaped what they have sown, unfortunately 10 hours was entirely too long to cover that topic. Also S3 made me really hate Sally when her BS smile and BS attitude is stripped away she is a very ugly person inside, that is one seriously f'ed up family.

I wish they had stopped after season 2, if anything they should have made a short miniseries out of S3, three episodes could have done it easily. I binged each prior season entirely in a single day each, this I watched 2 eps at first and took my sweet time going back to it. I watched it almost like it was a task and not something I couldn't wait for. Final seasons are rarely good, but here they stretched everything out about as far as physically possible. Only to end with a f'k load of ?????'s

The production value dropped severely too, I think they probably used a lot of b roll footage from the prior seasons, the lighting was often off, just not up to par. I remember reading about them not filming this season(legal or $$ unsure) on the Keys instead South Carolina was mentioned and I'm not sure whatever came of it. The cinematography wasn't even close as to the prior seasons, which were both shot beautifully, the location was a character in itself. This season failed to have that feel.

Sorry for the length I should really change my name to TL;DR

Agreed.

Was Kevin Roy's son?

It was strongly implied he was.

What was that recurring dream of the Rayburn siblings about?

That all their secrets/misdeeds are "banging at the door" just waiting to catch up with them. They'll never rest easy.

Who is Beth?

Robert's daughter. Their half-sister. Danny explains John's suspicions at the kitchen table, then Nolan says to her about the inn "Your mom never showed you pictures?"

Is John going to tell Nolan the truth?

Yes.

I guess we'll never know. That ruins the whole series, for me. Makes watching it a waste of time.

Disagree with this part. But season 3 was weak compared to the first 2. I also didn't like how they completely transformed Sally and Kevin into, basically, sociopaths.

Sally, Kevin and John were all completely transformed into sociopaths, it was hard to watch such ugliness all together. Sally was a rock for some 50 years and John always had very strong morals and principles until Danny decided to bring down the family, it wasn't a believable transformation that occurred in S3, imo it was far too much of a severe departure of strong underlying principles. While Kevin was always a wildcard before and well obviously after, I don't blame him for killing Marco, Marco was very ignorant in his handling of Kevin at his house.

You don't tell someone who is on the edge of shattering something on the order of "I have all the evidence I need and I'm putting you and your entire family in prison, possibly for life, but maybe tomorrow after I pick-up Eric O'Bannon to testify.(not that he told Kevin about O'Bannon, but Kevin heard Marco on the phone with O'Bannon through the window so Kevin had knowledge of it. Then Marco walks around his house casually while talking to a sweaty freaked out Kevin while turning his back and leaving Kevin to easily grab possibly the best blunt force trauma statue ever made. I don't condone Marco's murder, but I honestly doubt Kevin could control himself at that point. Marco atp should never let Kevin in the door, he should have refused to speak to him straight out, but it was too personal by then for Marco and it got him killed.

@ThrillKillz

I disagree about John. The difference between John and the other two, was that he had a conscience. His actions weighed heavily on him. I'm not sure that he wouldn't have confessed initially to Danny's murder, if Meg and Kevin hadn't move the body. Everything he did after that was to protect them and his wife and kids more so than himself. John ultimately did confess but still got away with it, lol. I found his character arc believable, but not Sally or Kevin's.

Kevin seemed to be happier than ever after getting away with murder and jumped head first into drug trafficking and didn't have a problem with Gilbert putting a hit on Eric.

Sally didn't seem to have any remorse either - we find out she cheated with, and covered up a murder for Roy Gilbert, in addition to screwing over Danny as a child, long before their current problems. But she just kept chugging along, smiling. Her blaming John for Sara seemed particularly unbelievable.

Meg's new life just seemed stupid and cringeworthy.
