Excellent point and something I hadn't considered (the bolded) but its true. Its ironic that they break up James and Kara and give James all the action scenes, but once Mon-El and Kara get together all of Mon-El's action scenes go poof. I wonder if the problem really is the show doesn't know how to write a couple that can both fight/have super powers?

I think it's more that it's showing that the two can't really coincide well together, and it's really a one or the other situation.
